I saw Schneider’s The Animal, so I should have known what to expect.

Does Thorne Smith’s estate get royalties from this film? He did, after all, write Turnabout, the greater, though perhaps not better, part of a century ago.

Clive (Rob Schneider) is a two-bit, and not totally competent, robber of convenience stores and the like. Jessica (Rachel McAdams) is a stereotypical high-school cheerleader, superficial and amoral. The two of them inadvertently switch bodies, and the rest of the film (with one or two exceptions) has to do with Jessica’s attempts to get out of Rob Schneider and back into Rachel McAdams. Lots of humor of the sort guaranteed to arouse snickers rather than belly laughs. (April: “[Wow, you’re a boy now!] Can I see … IT?” Male Jessica: “Listen, April, this is serious!” April: “Oh, yeah, I forgot. Uh … can I see … IT?”)

I saw Schneider’s The Animal, so I should have known what to expect.

Amusing, but even more minor (in my humble opinion) than Two Weeks Notice. Well, this show didn’t have Grant and Bullock.
