PIRON, Claude: Esperanto el la vidpunkto de verkisto. Vieno: Pro Esperanto, 1992. 16p.

En ĉi tiu libreto Piron klarigas, kial, laŭ li, Esperanto estas lingvo aparte taŭga por verkisto. Laŭ li, tio devenas de la mirinda fleksebleco de la lingvo, kiun kaŭzas ― mi opinias tion iom paradoksa ― la nevarieco, oni povus diri rigideco, de ĝiaj radikoj kaj reguloj. Post diskuto de la strukturo, li ankaŭ iom traktas la sonsistemon kaj ritmon de la lingvo, konotaciinfluon de diversaj lingvoj, kunmeteblecon de radikoj, kaj fine la “psikolingvistikajn bazojn” de la Esperanta fleksebleco.

Piron siatempe verkis ne nur poemaron (Malmalice) sed ankaŭ sufiĉe multajn romanojn (de la krimromano Ĉu vi kuiras ĉine? ĝis la sciencfikcia Tien), kaj siatempe tradukis multajn kantojn en la lingvon; do ŝajne li havas ian rajton juĝi pri ĝi.

Piron, Claude: Esperanto from the Viewpoint of an Author. Vienna: Pro Esperanto, 1992. 16 p.

In this booklet Piron explains why, in his view, Esperanto is a language especially suitable for an author. He believes that this derives from the language’s wonder flexibility, which is caused by ― I consider this to be somewhat paradoxical ― the invariability, one might say rigidity, of its roots and rules. After a discussion of the structure, he also treats, in some detail, the sound system and rhythm of the language, the influence on connotations of various languages, the combinability of roots, and finally the “psycholinguistic bases” of the flexibility of Esperanto.

Piron has written not just a collection of poetry (Malmalice), but also a fair number of novels (from the crime novel Ĉu vi kuiras ĉine? through the science-fictional Tien), and at some time translated many songs into the language; so he apparently has a right to judge it.
